After you've created a transparent object, you may want to edit its attributes. By adjusting the grayscale level of the transparency, you can change its opacity. You can freeze the contents of a transparency to create a bitmap. Once frozen, the contents of the object no longer interact with other objects on the screen. For example, when you move the frozen transparency, its contents doesn't change.
By applying merge modes, you can determine how the color of a transparency is combined with the color of objects that appear behind the transparency. Merge modes are available for fountain, pattern, and texture transparencies.
• You can change the resolution by which transparencies are rendered. For more information, see "Changing the rendering resolution of drop shadows" on page 495.
