When you first create a bitmap extrusion, there is no lighting. You can add as many lights as you want, but as the number of lights increases, so does the time it takes to render your final illustration. You can choose from several different types of lights to create the effect you want.
Ambient light is uniform. It has no specific origin and casts no shadows. It is the equivalent of daylight in a real-world scene. Ambient light radiates in every direction, has no position, and no source of origin.
A Point light is a special object that casts light in all directions.
