Adding the rock texture

Figure 7.25 is a photograph of a section of rock that has an unusual honeycomb texture and will make an interesting overlay for the figure.

Step 6 File> Open> DVD> Step-by-step files> '07 Honeycomb Rock'.

Step 7 Click back in the clone document, make a new layer and rename it Rock Texture. Always use a new layer for each element so that you can adjust it separately. Step 8 Select the Broad Wheel Airbrush, brush size 76.8, opacity 44% spread 40, flow 672. In the

Colors palette click the Clone Color icon. Step 9 File> Clone Source> '07 Honeycomb Rock'. Step 10 Spray over the picture with the airbrush, paint from top to bottom and follow the flow of the rock pattern. You need not worry if it looks too strong, as the next step will enable you to adjust it.
