Gouache

All the Gouache brushes have a very pronounced brush stroke and several have three-dimensional depth.

The first few examples below use an airbrush style and spray paint in the direction that the stylus is angled.

Most of the brushes use the Clone Color option but the Opaque Smooth brush can also change the Method to cloning and it is shown below in that mode using the Smooth Handmade paper.

The Wet Gouache Round brush smears the picture in a style reminiscent to watercolor.

The Wet Gouache Round brush was used for this statue of a Horse's head. The brush size was 30.0 initially then 10.0 for the more detailed areas with the opacity at 100% for most of the time.

Only the statue was cloned and not the background as the color was too strong and distracting.

When the head was finished the original image was copied and pasted into the cloned copy on the top of the layer stack.

The canvas was then copied and moved to the top of the layer stack and the Layer Composite method was changed to Gell, which removed the white around the head.

Finally the opacity of the layer underneath was reduced to just 11% to provide this very light background with just a hint of the original trees.
